Diversity of the workforce has always been our strength. Spanning knowledge areas, age, gender, skills, experience, and nationalities, we have employees based in 12 countries across the world.

There are multiple interventions at Crisil to attract, engage and retain workforce who identify as women. Some of them are as follows:

Focused hiring interventions for women include multiple channels, such as job fairs, campuses and lateral candidates from the job market are leveraged for women hiring
Leadership Excellence and Accelerated Development (LEAD), Leadership Excellence Program (LEP) and the 1,000 Women Leaders Programme in association with Jombay are some key initiatives towards building a strong pipeline of women leaders at Crisil
Established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the safety and security of women colleagues during business travel
Established ecosystem for psychological safety to ensure support during critical life-events
Set up an active forum, Buddy Mother Networks, that connects expectant and new mothers with other women employees
Various mentoring sessions for women are open throughout the year

Fostering allyship with LGBTQIA+ and Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

Globally, some landmark events have transpired in recent years around broader acceptance of sexual orientations and gender identity. Crisil supports inclusive policies for the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual/aromantic/agender plus) spectrum.

Initiatives taken to support LGBTQIA+ colleagues:

#BeAnAlly campaign organized in June 2023 to celebrate Pride Month
Office spaces around the globe embraced the Pride theme, adorning their spaces with vibrant colours and symbols of inclusivity
Pride Food Festival was organised at all locations across India
Communications were chronicled with various leaders across geographies to share inspiring messages and stories pertaining to LGBTQIA+
Eskalera platform available to employees to understand concepts of identity, vulnerability, inclusion, exclusion and psychological safety
Crisil covers same-sex partners in the medical insurance policy, and it covers gender affirmative surgery

Initiatives for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

We have taken several measures to enhance accessibility (both digital and physical) with the focus on DE&I
All our offices of Crisil provided with security and safety systems to ensure safety of employees and visitors visiting our premises

As a demonstration of allyship, Crisil sponsored the ‘Diversity and Inclusion Walkathon’ at Pune, conducted by the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN).

Supplier Diversity

Crisil's policy of equal opportunity towards our stakeholders ensures that we engage with suppliers on merit and business needs.

However, Crisil is equally conscious of the need for inclusive procurement, to deliver broader societal benefits by generating economic opportunity for disadvantaged communities.

Crisil has adopted a Supplier Diversity framework aimed at welcoming suppliers belonging to MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) and businesses owned / led by women, veterans, Persons with Disabilities(PWD) and LGBTQIA+ enterprises into our supply chain. We strive to widen our array of suppliers across diverse backgrounds through our Supplier Diversity framework.
