The domestic fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector continued to show resilience against elevated inflation and global commodity headwinds last fiscal, driven by price-led growth.
While urban demand maintained double-digit growth last fiscal, rural demand (40% share of overall demand) has lagged for six consecutive quarters, buffeted by multiple headwinds. This fiscal is expected to change that, supported by higher rural incomes and moderation in inflation.
Urban demand, meanwhile, is expected to continue its strong growth momentum.
