Crisil Intelligence is hosting the ninth edition of its flagship annual India Outlook Conclave on March 6, 2025.

The theme this year is 'Unleashing manufacturing: The competitiveness clarion call'.

India will remain one of the fastest-growing large economies despite geopolitical and trade uncertainties. Over the medium term, while services will continue to form the highest share in the economy, manufacturing sectors will lead the growth. However, the journey will not be easy given uncertain global risks and technological advancements. Amid this, it is imperative to analyze:

• Outlook on India and advanced economies
• Evolution of global trade amid realignment of supply chains
• Most impacted sectors in India due to increased tariffs on exports

The conclave will focus on India's competitiveness as a global manufacturing hub and will explore its unique positioning in value chains, aided by a decade of investments and policy reforms. A pertinent theme, given the backdrop of moderating global growth and heightened protectionism.

The event will also see the launch of the Crisil India Outlook 2025 report, a comprehensive compilation of insights on macroeconomic growth and trends, the medium-to-long term outlook and the drivers thereof.

The report will also chronicle trends in India Inc such as the growing exports in electronics, defence, automotive, energy transition and other high-tech sectors, and analyse the investment trends in high-value-add manufacturing, including foreign direct investments and domestic investments.

It underlines the drivers that will ensure India becomes a global manufacturing hub, capitalising on the supply-chain diversification strategies being pursued in major economies.
