Private hospitals have been seeing bed occupancy recovering over the past year, after a setback in the first half of fiscal 2021.
A gradual rebound in elective surgeries and preventive care, coupled with continued covid treatments are aiding this recovery, which is expected to continue in the near term. Private hospital firms are now aiming for double-digit growth in revenue this fiscal.
Even as that happens, some of the cost-reduction measures adopted in fiscal 2021 are expected to continue this fiscal as well. That, along with recovery in higher-margin elective and preventive treatments, will improve operating margins. Also, better cash flows and prudent capital spending will strengthen balance sheets.
So, will this spur the next round of expansions?
To cover these aspects, CRISIL Ratings is hosting a webinar on private hospitals on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, 3 p.m. onwards, where its experts will make a presentation which will include:
Revenue outlook for private hospitals
Profitability trends and key drivers
Capital spending expectation and credit quality outlook
This will be followed by a panel discussion with sector experts and a Q&A session.
Do dial in. Feel free to extend the invite to other colleagues in your organisation.
