Global recovery has been swift and uneven this year. However, that rebound has been accompanied by rising inflation, which is pushing global central banks to normalise their accommodative monetary policies deployed to counter the after-effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some advanced economies and the emerging markets - particularly those that follow inflation targeting - have already started to raise interest rates.
To be sure, the two systemically important central banks - the US Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank - have emphasised the transitory nature of inflation, and communicated a very gradual pace of policy normalisation.
But what if they surprise?
Given the context, CRISIL is organising a webinar where its experts will discuss:
Glide path for normalisation of the monetary policy in the US and Europe in the evolving growth and inflation scenario
India's vulnerability to external shocks, especially from the Fed tapering
Global influences on local growth-inflation dynamics
Impact on the domestic markets
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
