The Rs. 9 lakh crore Indian information technology (IT) services sector saw revenue growth spurt by 19% last fiscal, the highest growth in the past 8 fiscals, riding on increased digitalisation and strong demand for data analytics in the banking and financial services (BFSI), retail, manufacturing, telecommunication, and healthcare sectors.
The sector will continue to benefit from investments in new-age technologies across end-user industries, with focus on expanding clientele and maximising wallet share.
Operating margins for players were healthy at ~23-24%, due to improving product offerings and despite resumption of travel and other costs, and rising employee costs.
While revenue growth opportunities remain healthy, there are challenges emerging in form of newer technologies and skill sets. How are players placed to tackle the same?
To answer these questions and much more, CRISIL Ratings is organising a webinar at 3 pm on June 17th, 2022, on the IT services sector, where its experts will present their views on the following aspects:
Growth prospects for Indian IT services companies
Key revenue drivers in end-use verticals
Trends in operating profitability
Credit outlook on the sector
This will be followed by a panel discussion with leaders from the sector, and a Q&A session.
