The pace of capacity addition in India's renewable energy (solar and wind) sector slowed this fiscal as construction activity hard-braked following the Covid-19 pandemic.
But the sector is expected to bounce back given a strong pipeline of orders and project tenders, and continued investor confidence.
To achieve that, however, some structural enablers are essential, such as resolving payment issues at state counterparties, more investments for grid balancing, and dependence on solar module imports.
In the context, CRISIL is organising a webinar where our experts will present their views on:
Capacity Installations: Trends and Outlook
Tariffs: Sustainability of recent bids
Performance linked Incentive scheme and import duties: Impact on capital cost
Trends in key risk: Counterparty, renegotiation
Increase in M&As and global funding
Credit outlook over the medium term
The webinar will be followed by a panel discussion involving industry experts and a Q&A session.
