CRISIL Infrastructure Advisory's Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) practice works across the energy value chain. The team helps in conceptualising and implementing reforms, market entry, privatisation and commercialising utilities, institutional strengthening, strategic business planning, operational improvements, and restructuring.

The team has experience across the energy sector – resources/power and conventional/renewable. It has developed a strong expertise in sustainable energy and is a leader in advisory assistance in techo-commercial assessments for wind, solar, biomass and waste-to-energy projects.

The team has advised the Ministry of Coal in developing the methodology for auctioning captive coal blocks. It also assisted Coal India in implementing the New Coal Distribution Policy.
