CRISIL named Category Leader in Chartis' RiskTech Regulatory Reporting Solutions 2024 Quadrant Report

CRISIL, a global provider of advanced analytics and credit risk management solutions, has been recognised as a Category Leader in the RiskTech Regulatory Reporting Solutions Quadrant Report 2024, published by Chartis Research in September 2024.

The recognition underscores CRISIL's regulatory expertise, gained through client engagement, practical experience, and strong relationships with regulatory bodies.  It also emphasises CRISIL’s position as a global leader in integrated risk and compliance management.

The report evaluates CRISIL’s regulatory reporting solutions for financial institutions and capital markets, as well as customer feedback and market potential for its solutions.

It assesses CRISIL’s award-winning products such as SEM and Model Infinity, along with its services, tools and accelerators for regulatory reporting. Notably, , CRISIL’s best-in-class capabilities in data management and data model framework were recognized in the report.

CRISIL's credit risk regulatory reporting module across proprietary products provides expected credit loss (ECL) calculation under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 9/ current expected credit loss (CECL) methodologies, asset classification and provisioning reporting, automated data flow reporting and risk-based supervision reporting.

The key solutions of the regulatory reporting module are i) calculation of credit risk capital and regulatory capital under Basel and regional banking regulations; ii) calculation of specific and general risk capital requirements for asset classes, including interest rate securities, equity instruments and derivatives; iii) capital stress-testing and scenario analysis; and iv) compliance with extensive credit risk reporting requirements, including customer analysis, staging layers (ECL 1, 2, 3) and loan-level analysis.
